What would Deshima Sounds be without it’s music? Well, just a dull gathering of a lot of cool people. But we’re not going to do that. It’s music you want, and music we’ll give. But not just any kind of music. It’s music we pulled straight out of the biggest Japanese clubs, so we can provide you with the latest and hottest tracks heard today on the other side of the globe (Japan, of course). There are a few specific kinds of music you won’t be hearing in any other club in the Netherlands, or outside of Japan for that matter.
One of these is, probably the most peculiar, eurobeat. This way superfast dance music is actually made in Italy, but released only in Japan. Most people would describe it as ‘hyper dance’, which actually isn’t such a bad way to describe it. There are no real words for it, you just have to hear and experience it. Together with hyper techno, once again made in Italy, eurobeat has another special feat to it. Every song comes with it’s own dance. It’s great to dance the same thing with everyone else, and if you don’t happen to know the dance, just watch what the others are doing, and copy them! Of course, everyone is free to just dance.
Besides eurobeat and hyper techno, we also got some nice house, dance and trance for you. It’s nothing you wouldn’t expect, except this time it’s filled with some sushi. Some people might call it, once again, hyper. But that’s just great right? Just go all out!
And if that wasn’t enough, there’s also the hardest style, j-core. Short for Japanese hardcore, and sure to bang it out with a blast. And it’s not going to be just the happy Sharpnelsound stuff you’ll be hearing. Basskicks will fly around your ears, your feet won’t be able to stop moving.
Deshima Sounds has it’s own resident deejays. MK☆ and Neodash Zerox will, as ever, be rocking the place. They’ve been a team for over 5 years now, and every time these guys throw a party, it really is a party. Teaming up with them is MC B-Box, who after the last three editions, is a part of Deshima Sounds as well. And if that isn’t enough already, there’s our special guest Omega Zero. Together these guys will be showing you what a Japanese party can be like. No words for that, you just have to experience it.
Because Deshima Sounds supports eurobeat and hyper techno, para para will play a role at the party too. A lot of people asked us to release the eurobeat and hyper techno tracklist, so they can practice beforehand. No problem, we said. But we still need to work on that! As soon as we finish it, you’ll get it.
